You want to be sure your photographer is reachable for these, unless he turns over the cd to you and then you can do it yourself at any time. If a wedding album is important to you, make sure you see samples. There are varying degrees of quality in this department and you want what you want. The more you see the better you can choose. Because you'll be spending more time with this person than most wedding professional, and sometimes in slightly intimate settings, you'll want to be sure they match your needs and persona. No arguing should happen on your big day. Work it out ahead of time. Most photographers like to show off their camera like it means something to you (unless you're a fellow photographer). In that case, you don't need this article. However, the only reason to pay any attention to what they say about their camera is to make sure it's newer and/or can produce quality images. Outside of that, it's not really of concern to you.
